Workshop: Orchestral Playing
Whether heralding the arrival of the hero in an operatic scene, creating tension in a film score or laying the rock-solid foundations of a romantic symphony, the brass section’s role within the symphony orchestra is both critical and varied. Roger Argente, principal bass trombone of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and founder of Superbrass, international trombone soloist Christopher Houlding and renowned orchestral and West End trumpeter Paul Mayes share their experience in a presentation and question-and-answer session.
This session, while designed for those with experience of orchestral brass playing, is open to all.
