Conductor: Alexandre Bloch
The BBC National Orchestra of Wales present a once-in-a-lifetime programme, featuring the landmark Symphony No. 5 by Malcolm Arnold, Oscar-winning composer for Bridge on the River Kwai and other iconic British films, and the latest of a stream of thrilling new works inspired by the artistry of Håkan Hardenberger whose thirty-year career has taken the trumpet into many uncharted territories. The performance will take us to the unique landscapes of Tobias Broström’s Lucernaris and H. K. Gruber’s 3 MOB Pieces.
